The Pod That Started a Business: Georgia’s @gigisnailpod Story
Georgia Brown started her own nail business, @gigisnailpod, in a green Skipjack Pod in her garden. She needed a dedicated space, separate from the house, that would feel calm, welcoming and professional for clients, without waiting on a long build.
Georgia’s nail salon pod at a glance
- Pod: Skipjack Pod, 3m deep, 2.4m wide and 2.3m high (from £4,595 today)
- Used for: a nail salon, with a nail desk, client chair, white storage shelving and LED lighting around the arch
- Outside: green exterior on a paved area with an outdoor rug, planters and seating for clients
- Delivery: craned over the garden fence fully assembled
Why a Skipjack worked for a new nail business
Georgia wanted a space she would be proud to build a business around. The 3m Skipjack fits a full nail station, storage and a seat for each client, and its own door keeps clients out of the family home. She marked opening day with a ribbon across the door.
Today I had my Hully Pod delivered and it’s much more beautiful than I imagined. It’s now the start of my very own business.

How did you first hear about Hully Pods?
